Makes 1 cocktail
Ingredients:
2oz whiskey, rum, or brandy (or preferred spirit)
3oz sour mix
For fresh sour mix:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
Directions:
Bring the sugar and water to a boil and stir to dissolve for about 7 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool.
While the syrup is cooling, strain freshly squeezed lemon and lime juices into a resealable bottle. Pour in the cooled syrup. Shake and use immediately or refrigerate.
Make your cocktail: fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Combine your choice of spirit with the sour mix, cover, and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds. Pour the cocktail to a chilled glass and enjoy!
