Ingredients:
-1 lb white fish fillets (cod, haddock, etc...)
-6-9 large shrimp
-1/4 cup all purpose flour (or general purpose)
-1/2 tsp black pepper
-1 tsp salt
-2 large eggs
*Dipping sauce:
-2 tbsp salt sauce
-2 tbsp vinegar
-2 tbsp sesame oil
-1 tsp garlic, minced
-1/2 stalk green onion, chopped
-1/2 chili, chopped
Directions:
Thaw the fish and shrimp, if frozen. Take the shrimp and butterfly cut them from the back, making sure you remove the gray membrane. Press the shrimp flat and set aside. Slice the haddock into 1/4 inch or thinner pieces. Season the fish and shrimp with salt and pepper evenly on both sides. Set aside for about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile prepare your dipping sauce by mixing all the dipping ingredients together. Set aside.
Prepare flour in a dish. Mix the eggs with a pinch of salt together in a bowl.
Heat up a frying pan on medium heat with 1-2 tbsp of oil. Coat both sides of the fish and shrimp with flour. Then cover the haddock with the egg mixture. Place the battered haddock into the pan and fry till completely cooked.
Batter the shrimp and repeat the process. Plate along with dipping sauce and enjoy!
