Serves: 4

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 6-8 jujubes

  • 1 tbsp goji berries

  • 1 lemon, sliced

  • 4 ginger slices

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Directions

  1. Before making the tea, make a deep cut into each jujube.

  2. Combine the lemon, ginger, jujubes, goji berries, sugar, and 8 cups of cold water in a medium saucepan.

  3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat then reduce to a simmer.

  4. Partially cover the pan and continue to simmer until the tea is reduced by a third, for about 30 minutes. Enjoy!

Warning: People with blood pressure and heart disease should be careful when consuming jujube and should not overdo it. Jujube is a plant that can be harmful to people with epilepsy or those taking anti-seizure medication and should be avoided if you are doing so.
