INGREDIENTS
Dough
1 1/4 cup AP flour
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 tsp active dry yeast
1/4 tsp sugar
3 tbsp warm water
1 tbsp sugar
Walnut flavoring (optional)
1/3 cup +1 tablespoon milk
Filling
1/2 cup red bean paste (buy from the store or make it at home)
Directions:
Mix the warm water, yeast, & sugar in a bowl. Let stand 10 minutes.
Sieve the flour into a bowl. Add salt, milk, & yeast water & mix well. Cover with a warm damp towel & let stand in a warm place for three hours.
Separate the dough into 10 portions. Flatten the dough on waxed paper into a circular shape. Place one slightly rounded teaspoon of the filling in the center and seal the dough around the filling. Roll slightly to form a round ball.
Pre-Heat oven to 350°.
Grease a cookie sheet or muffin pan. Place the dough balls about 1 1/2 inches apart on the cookie sheet & bake for 13 to 17 minutes (until golden brown). Serve warm. Enjoy!
