Ingredients:
1 pack firm tofu
1 tbsp canola oil, for frying
Sauce:
3 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp water
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp gochugaru
1 tsp sesame seed
1 clove garlic, minced
2 scallion stalks, chopped
Directions:
Cut the tofu into 1/4-inch pieces and pat them dry with paper towels (the dryer, the better!).
Put your frying pan on a high heat. Add some oil into the pan and fry the tofu on both-sides, until golden brown. Mix water, soy sauce, gochugaru, sugar, minced garlic, sesame seeds, sesame oil, and chopped scallions in a mixing bowl.
Place a frying pan on high heat. Pour the braising sauce mix into the frying pan and let it boil away, for about 6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once the sauce reduces to a thick consistency, put the fried tofu pieces into the pan and give it a thorough coating.
Serve with rice or as a banchan. Enjoy!
