Makes 2 lattes
Ingredients
Corn latte
1 cup sweet corn (frozen or can MUST BE UNSALTED or sweet creamed corn)
1 cup water
2 cups milk
3 tbsp sugar
Alternative
1 can sweet creamed corn
1 can condensed milk
1/2 cup water
whipped cream
Coffee Alternative
1 can sweet creamed corn
1 can condensed milk
1 cup water
2 shots cold espresso or 1/2 cup brewed coffee or store bough gold brew coffee
whipped cream
vegan note: Use unflavored milk alternatives/plant based milk and vegan condensed milk
lactose free option: unflavored lactose free or plant based milks work as well as lactose free condensed milk does as well.
Directions
Corn latte:
Add all ingredients into a blender and blend together
Using a sift or strainer over a bowl straining the "corn milk" and disposing of the corn skins
In a pan on low heat, warm the "corn milk" until it boils (keep your eyes on it so the milk doesn't over flow).
You can serve the latte warm or let the corn latte cool to serve chilled.
In a chilled cup, add the corn latte, top it with whipped cream and enjoy!
Alternative:
To a blender, combine one can of creamed corn until the condensed milk and water. Blend until smooth.
Using a sift or strainer over a bowl, strain the "corn milk" and get rid of the corn skin.
Cool the latte before serving.
In a chilled cup (with or without ice), add the latte, top it with whipped cream, and serve. Enjoy!
Coffee Alternative
To a blender, combine one can of creamed corn until the condensed milk and water. Blend until smooth.
In a pan on low heat, warm the "corn milk" until it boils (keep your eyes on it so the milk doesn't overflow).
Put your corn milk in the fridge to chill while you make your coffee.
Brew your coffee if you're not using store bought coffee. Set it aside to cool.
In a chilled cup, add the corn latte, add the coffee or espresso but do not mix. Top with whipped cream and enjoy!
