Ingredients:
12 oz egg noodles
1/4 cup butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped parsley
crushed pepper flakes or cayenne powder, to top (optional)
Directions:
Fill a large pot with water and season it generously with salt.
Bring the water to a boil and add the egg noodles. Cook the noodles until al dente, according to the package instructions. (Reserve some of the boiling water). Drain the pasta and return to the pot.
In a pan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and cook until lightly golden, about 2 minutes. Stir in the salt and pepper.
Add the drained pasta and reserved pasta water to the pan. Slowly add in the parmesan cheese, while stirring constantly, until completely incorporated, about 2 minutes more.
Stir in the parsley and crushed red pepper, then adjust the seasoning with salt.
Serve and garnish with more parmesan cheese, parsley, and a sprinkle of the red pepper. Enjoy!
